Oysters & Chocolate considers unsolicited submissions of erotic short stories, non-fiction, comics, artwork, and other erotic works.
We are now accepting novel and novella submissions! Please review the guidelines here.
Writers:
- Type "Fiction Submission: Title of Your Work," "Poetry Submission: Title of Your Work," or "Article Submission: Title of Your Work" in the subject line of your email.
**If this is a HOLIDAY submission please note this in the subject line, so it doesn't get overlooked in the queue (Halloween, Christmas etc.)
- Include your real name (your real name will never be published on our site unless you want to use it).
- Include your pen name (if applicable).
- Include a brief author's bio (if you are a new writer to our site).
- Indicate if you have been previously published on O&C.
- Include title of your story.
- At the head of your story, please give a 2-5 sentence summary as well as let us know which category the story best fits under: Vanilla (heterosexual, 1 man 1 woman); Licorice Whips (BDsM); Oysters (lesbian); Banana Split (homo-erotic); and Dirty Martini (threesomes, orgies, unusual kinks, and fetishes), Poetry, or Other (nonfiction, etc.)
- Word count: 500-5000 words for short stories and articles; up to 40 lines per poem.
- Please copy/paste your story into the body of the email AND attach it as a word document (no need to do this for poetry).
- Email POETRY and OYSTERS (lesbian) submissions to: aimee@oystersandchocolate.com
- Email all other written submissions to: submissions@oystersandchocolate.com
- Rights: your work may be previously published. Please ensure that your story is NOT published elsewhere online for a three month duration upon publication on Oysters & Chocolate. Your story will be archived on O&C indefinitely, to be taken down upon your request.
- Response time: typically 12 weeks. We respond to EVERY submission whether it be an acceptance or a rejection.
- You may submit up to three items for consideration within one calendar month.
- Payment: $10 thank you fee per accepted short story submission and $5 per accepted poetry submission, links to your website, infamy, and gratitude. Payments sent out within 60 days of publication via check or PayPal.
Artists:
Use our site as a platform to gain more exposure for your work! As our featured artist your work will spend a full month on our homepage and be featured in our newsletter. We will link to your online art portfolio. This is the best, free advertising on the web. You may email us at art@oystersandchocolate.com. Include a link to your online portfolio or three (3) sample images attached as .jpg attachments. We prefer to publish galleries of nine to twelve images. This is a great way to promote your work! We do not take rights to your imagery; you may have it published anywhere online. Upon acceptance, your art will be archived in our gallery indefinitely, to be taken down upon your request.
