Ah the erotic poem... Nothing captures the pulse and poetic beat of sex like the rhythm and beauty of verse. We thoroughly enjoyed reading the entries for the O&C Erotic Poetry Contest, perhaps enjoyed it too much. There was a lot of sexually inspiring stuff, many sumptuous entries. After many late, sweaty nights with these poems, we are proud to announce the winners!
First place goes to "What Christine Did with her Cock," by Bill Noble. Noble's poem is evocative, unique and renders both the animalistic heat of fucking and the tenderness of intimacy. Congratulations Bill!
Second place goes to the "The Zone," by TP. "The Zone" embodies that rhythmic pulse of sex mentioned earlier, in such a playful, beautiful way.
And third place goes to "Taut," by Kent Coloma. The imagery captured in "Taut" is simultaneously dream-like and tactile -- the elements of hazy reverie blended with the physicality of sex make for a romantic and sexy experience.
We can't help but give an honorable mention to "Deliver Me," by Shanna Germain. We struggled with this one, wanting desperately to include it in the top three. It's intense; it's real. In the end, the eroticism of the winners captured our hearts (er... bodies), but this one was just too good to let go of completely.
