Toon Stalpers

The Dutch painter Toon Stalpers started as an industrial designer, teacher and illustrator and studied then at Design and Art Academy in Eindhoven as well as at Art Academy in Tilburg.

His work is influenced by his artistic father who affected him in the culture of the eastern world as well as Japanese Prints as they fascinate him since childhood.

Furthermore, landscapes, flowers and dancers as well as paintings of body language are gaining an increasingly importance towards his work.

In his paintings Stalpers unfurls himself completely by creating a colourful atmosphere using a mixture of conte and pastel as well as acrylic on panel and canvas.
