I was suppose to be the "good Asian daughter" my family had hoped for and attend family functions, politely bowing my head when elders referred to me as Doctor Michel, but I am too far removed from the place I was raised. I live in New York City with my stuffed doll, Mr. Froggy, in the L.E.S., and though I know many people with great talents, credentials and success, I am no more than a writer. I didn't graduate Ivy league, I don't write scripts for Steven Spielberg and publishing houses do not know my name. I do believe however,
