About the author
Phedra Johnson was raised at the T-intersection of two red mud roads. All her childhood memories are of clean air, towering pine trees, and church services. Phedra's parents were hysterically over-protective (in a loving way). She was a chronic bookworm. She marched in the band. She won University Interscholastic League honors as the state champion in Poetry Interpretation and Impromptu Speaking.
Needless to say, nobody wanted to date her in high school.
Then she went to college.
