Erotica editor's letter

From your erotica editors Jordan LaRousse and Samantha Sade

Dear Readers and Contributors,

Last week we joined Burlesque Booty School, yes we're going to learn to be (very) amateur burlesque dancers! Watch out, Dixie Licks and Lola Getts are getting on stage for the first time!

Standing under the hot spotlight is a vulnerable place to be. We can't see the audience, and we certainly can't see ourselves. We can only feel what's emanating from within. Is it confidence? Fear? A little of both? We have to get to a place where we are truly portraying what we want for other people to see. From the comfort of the auditorium, the audience sees our costumes, our dance moves, but most importantly they see our energy and verve, or lack thereof. After all, that's what makes a great performer great, that ability to generate the confidence needed to woo a skeptical crowd--once you have that, costuming and choreography are but icing on the cake.

Bring this to the bedroom. You can know all the techniques you want to learn, you can buy lingerie or silk boxer shorts, you can invest in Egyptian cotton sheets, sex toys and spanking paddles. But if you don't have the energy and confidence then you won't be able to truly wow your partner (or yourself for that matter). Finding that element of self assurance may be a matter of getting more exercise, eating well, and practicing being sexy in front of your mirror, yes that's right strut naked and notice how hot you really are.

This October we invite you to join us and take the stage (your stage that is). Find your inner light and let it shine through in everything you do, from your workplace, to your boudoir.

Love,
Jordan LaRousse and Samantha Sade

P.S. Happy Halloween everyone!
P.P.S. If you are in Denver we have a number of upcoming events in November to celebrate the release of our new book-- check out our Amazon author page for the calendar.

Well said, ladies! As an exotic dancer, I know all about feeling vulnerable or empowered under the lights! It is very important to go up looking and feeling your best!
