Happy New Year!

2008 was a rollercoaster for many of us, including yours truly. Between the nightmare of our site going down in January, the tumultuous but beautiful redesign of O&C that launched in February, our new partnership with Penguin and the creation of the first O&C anthology, and the day to day work of trying to find the best erotica out there, 2008 was, to say the least, a whirlwind of activity and emotion.

This last year also brought the sexy additions of our mistress of publicity, Heather, and our first sections editor for lesbian erotica, longtime contributor Aimee Herman. We are both grateful and thrilled to have them on our team, and look forward to working with them in the new year!

We close 2008 with a sigh of breath, a little rest, a sip of champagne, and of course, some erotic time with our loved ones. And we look to 2009 with excitement. A lot of wonderful things await ahead of us in the new year, and we look forward to continuing down this erotic path with all of our readers, contributors, O&C team, and loved ones.

  Dear Jordan and Samantha: Recently, I took you "Flavor Test" and found I am "Vanilla." At first, I was almost embarrassed and felt I was "less" -- less than what, I don't know. In my mind, and my experiences, absolutely, I am much more than "vanilla." BUT, upon introspection, I realized that Vanilla goes with EVERYTHING!! Even, Oysters. Vanilla can be drizzled with chocolate, or strawberries . . . .Because Vanilla goes with EVERYTHING, including plain-old-vanilla, it actually does define me: sexually, emotionally, intellectually. And, believe me, I use all of my interests and talents when I express myself sexually. So . . . to those of you who think that Vanilla is "less" -- we are actually the MOST!!!   Randy, Quite a few people have this same reaction when they learn they are vanilla. It seems that most people decide that vanilla is boring. That's simply not true. Vanilla is classic, classy, sexy and smokin' hot. It's romantic and seductive and naughty. It's so many wonderful things and we are both so very glad that you are finally embracing your vanilla-ness. ;) xoxo JLR
