Sexy Product Review
"AMF Korsets" by Miami Pepper

I’ve always had a peculiar affection for corsets: the way they sculpt the body, tightening the midsection to the point of painful slenderness. I love the feeling of restriction, and have a private belief that being unbelievably sexy is more important than breathing. The pulse between my legs becomes more desirable than fully inflated lungs. Corsets are romantic, overtly sexual, beautiful, sometimes subversive, and, as in the case of AMF Korsets, all of the above.
When I stumbled upon AMFKorsets.com, I was smitten. The corsets, all designed by Louis Fleischauer, are more than just corsets, they are true works of art. Fleischauer, who grew up in Germany and “now lives in the American Nightmare,” says that he officially declared war on fashion in 1987 as part of the East German subculture.
Fleischauer has been working with leather since 1992 and started focusing on corsets in 1999 when he founded AMF Korsets. The attention to detail and the raw emotional power of his corsets are striking. Keeping true to the art, Fleischauer hand-makes each piece. “Everything is made at my Studio. AMF Korsets does not believe in mass production. I sculpt everything myself, do all the hand painting and special dying and detail work…Almost everything is made of leather, though I do experiment with sculpted plastics and metal from time to time.”
The Korsets come in gorgeous colors, like rich red, sultry blue, flirtatious pink, and metallic copper. And the designs are completely unique with unusual cuts and angles, pulled tight by thick buckles or criss-crossing strips of leather. They are simply dripping with power and sexuality. The designs represent true creative genius. Among my favorites is the Hela – Daji Korset: a vibrant red corset with intricate hand-painted detailing and devilish, horn-like cuts along the shoulder and breast-line, all cinched together with black ribbons.

In addition to corsets for women, Fleischauer also offers an impressive selection of corsets for men as well as sculpted leather collars, surreal and fantastical masks, otherworldly wings, and much more. You can also contact Fleischauer to order a custom-designed item that will fulfill your darkest fantasy.
What exactly is Fleischauer’s vision? He says, “The Creations of AMF can be seen as tools of transformation. I strongly believe in self-expression and individuality and for this reason AMF specializes in custom pieces and one of a kind creations.”
